SYNAPS IS A WHITE OPAQUE POLYESTER-BASED
SYNTHETIC PAPER THAT PRINTS LIKE STANDARD PAPER.

SYNAPS XM, XM as in Xerographic Matt, is a white opaque polyester synthetic paper that is resistant to water and tearing without lamination.

It allows for double sided xerographic printing, also referred to as dry toner or laser printing. The high quality bi-axially stretched polyester core ensures excellent dimensional stability even under high toner fusing temperatures. SYNAPS XM’s antistatic top coating provides strong toner adhesion and smooth sheet transport during the printing process; all to the benefit of both image quality and productivity. Because of its ease of use SYNAPS XM is the perfect choice for Print-On-Demand and in-plant print shops that need to be able to switch from paper to synthetics in full confidence. The versatility of SYNAPS XM is illustrated by the fact that it can be pre-printed in offset allowing for subsequent personalization via a digital printer.

SYNAPS OM, OM as in Offset Matt, is a white opaque, high grade polyester synthetic paper that is resistant to water and tearing without lamination.

SYNAPS OM has a double sided coating for printing in a variety of techniques and allows for using standard offset inks whereas other synthetics require more expensive oxidative inks and cause idle time when switching between inks. Its proprietary coating formulation ensures extremely fast ink drying which makes SYNAPS OM a best-in-class media in terms of quality and productivity even in most demanding environments.

The high tear resistance of SYNAPS’ polyester core presents end-users with the significant advantage of allowing the eventual removal of the sheet in one piece instead of tearing up in endless little chippings as is the case with other pressure sensitive synthetic media. SYNAPS PS comes in two grades of adhesion strength: AP and AR, Adhesive Permanent and Adhesive Repositionable. Applications include indoor and outdoor POS signage, stickers and labels in a variety of demanding environments.
